About Baron

Originally, Colt #2, Baron was one of the five colts saved from a kill pen in September 2015 (learn more about The Colts here). Baron was adopted in March 2016 by an amazing family in Abbotsford, BC. Once he arrived, traveling with his brother Bandit, Baron settled in with his new herd mates – a family of minis!

Fast foward to 2019 and Baron is growing into an incredibly handsome horse. Unfortuantely, his family decided they didn't have the time or experience to give Baron the opportunity to be the horse he was meant to be so asked the Society to help with finding Baron a new home. It was an incredibly hard decision for Baron's family but we applauded them for putting Baron's future top of mind. The goal was that Baron stay in British Columbia's lower mainland region and we almost accomplished that . . . Baron's new home is with Texas Rose Training on Vancouver Island. So just a quick ferry ride away.

As one of the five colts saved from the kill pen, Baron has a very special place in our hearts. We wish Baron and his new family all the best.
