Fairy – Adopted!

UPDATE - well it did not take long for Fairy to be dearly loved by her foster family. Once we were confident Fairy could be brought back to good health and was pain free, her foster mum adopted her . . . joining the Foster Fail Club. Could not be a more perfect end to this chapter of Fairy's story!

Fairy (Fee) was gifted to our rescue by her owner in Quebec in March 2021. A 25 year old retired broodmare, Fee apparently had 11 foals during her lifetime. Her breeding days over, she was in need of a soft place to land and live out her remaining years.

Fairy is currently in foster care at an amazing home with a large pasture and shelter and a lot of love. There is a strong possibility that the foster home will turn into a permanent adoptive home for Fairy. Our first priority has been to make sure she is healthy; unfortunately she was underweight with feet in desperate need of a trim. Once we get her health sorted out, we will be better able to decide next steps. However, we strongly suspect another foster fail.
