Charmer – Adopted!

Charmer (Chatham Danseur Kandy-ML) is a 19 yr old Stallion, who is broke to ride, drive, AND work in harness. He has shown multiple times and even won senior Grand champion stallion many years ago.

Charmer's owner contacted us in January 2019 asking if we could help re-home him. Their young colt was coming along nicely and they did not have room for two stallions so it was time for Charmer to move on. Luckily, Society Board Member, Danielle offered to take him on a temporary (foster) situation, allowing us to act quickly.

He has been in foster care, London, ON, since that time while the Society has figured out next steps. Charmer has shown some negative behaviours related to not being worked regularly and when separated from his herd. Many stallions live in isolation (e.g., stalls/paddocks, separated from other horses) which we quickly learned was not his experience and not how he wanted to live. Charmer is happiest only when living with other horses; a band of geldings likely fine. Charmer is a stallion so only the most experienced homes will be considered.
