About Bandit

Originally, Colt #4, Baron was one of the five colts saved from a kill pen in September 2015 (learn more about The Colts here). Bandit was adopted in April 2016 by an amazing young woman in Langley, BC. Once he arrived, traveling with his brother Baron, Bandit settled in nicely. The first task – learning his new name . . . Jack.

Not long after arriving, Jack’s mum, Anna, posted an update, reporting “In the last few weeks, we started with putting on a halter and desensitizing to touch, and in the past week or so worked up to picking up all four hooves, leading, backing up, bending, going out to get some fresh grass and even ventured to the round pen yesterday (ours is across the property so we had to go through the barn, several gates, etc., so, a big deal...). Oh, and we are spending our free time testing out a variety of treats! It's been an adventure we are both enjoying, and I couldn't be more proud. He is learning incredibly fast, is very gentle and sweet, definitely a thinker - it is a pleasure to work with him :)"
